Hi, my name is Maya Glitters and I’m a fashion blogger! I’ve always had a passion for fashion and love the way fashion allows you to express yourself.
Why did you start MayaGlitters? I started Maya Glitters as a way to help kids improve their style and fashion sense. I also use my blog as a way to share my outfits (giving people endless fashion inspo)!
What’s your favorite part of running MayaGlitters? I love the fact that I’m constantly helping others find their style and just to impact someone’s day in a positive way is so special.
You have such a great business sense and entrepreneurial spirit! Any advice for other kids looking to follow in your footsteps? Procrastination is the enemy of execution. Too many people procrastinate but the best way to get started is to actually START. GO FOR IT!
Where do you find your inspiration for your outfits and blog posts? I personally love to experiment with outfits in my spare time so that’s where I get most of my inspo. But additionally, I also love to use Pinterest to stay up to date with trends!
Future goals? Eventually, I’d love to launch my own clothing line just like you and help even more teens around the world develop their personal style!
Let’s talk fashion… How would you describe your style? I would say that my style is a mix of trendsetting fashion, colour, and of course glitter!
Who are your style icons? I really love Marley Dias, Skai Jackson, and Marsai Martin. They are all girl bosses with outstanding, unique styles!
What do you look for when you go shopping? I looked for new innovative styles that are sure to start trends but more importantly is seek out items of clothing that make me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin.
Do you like to follow trends or set your own path? I like to make my own trends most of the time as some trends I just don’t like. But I’d say I do a bit of both.
Dream Met Gala designer? VERSACE 100%!
Other favorites… Favorite books? I love the book “The New Fashion Rules” by Victoria Magrath! It’s all about fashion through the ages and how to thrive as a fashion blogger in these fast-paced times.
Favorite musicians/bands? I love listening to Ella Mai. Her songs are always so uplifting :)
Favorite social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)? Too many to choose!
